Our History

 

Rimmer & Roeter Construction was founded with the core values of hard work, reliability, and trust in April of 2000. The founders, Jamie Rimmer and Steve Roeter started the company working out of their homes. 23 years later, Rimmer & Roeter continues to grow their reputation within the Valley as a company capable of many diverse building systems from: Commercial, Industrial, Medical, and High-end Residential, while retaining their same core values.

Jamie and Steve came from various construction backgrounds. Jamie brought experience in Public Works, Commercial, Healthcare, and Custom Residential; whereas Steve brought with him experience in Commercial, Cold Storage, Metal Structures, and other Agricultural buildings. The diverse and well-rounded knowledge in construction, gives Rimmer & Roeter an edge in the building industry. Now, Jake Rimmer and Josh Roeter, the second generation of Rimmer & Roeter can lead the way well into the future.

Our Team

 

Jamie Rimmer

Shareholder, Co-Founder

Jamie Rimmer co-founded Rimmer & Roeter Construction in April 2000 and has been in the construction industry since he was 19 years old. A skilled craftsman, savvy project manager, superintendent to now owner, Jamie’s background and vast relationships in commercial construction, metal and custom homes give Rimmer & Roeter the added edge in the market.

A Chelan High School graduate, he spent 17 years working in the Puyallup area before calling Cashmere, Washington home. Jamie’s determination, grit and honesty have helped Rimmer & Roeter to be the leading construction firm in NCW, known for cost consciousness and teamwork.

Jamie takes great pride in the accomplishments of the team at Rimmer & Roeter Construction and truly is passionate about the people who work with him every day. He loves all the outdoor beauty of Central Washington. If he is not working, you will find him on the ski slopes, hiking, biking, rock climbing, fishing, golfing or just witnessing this great planet every, single day.

Jake Rimmer

Owner/ Senior project manager/shareholder

Originally from Buckley, WA. Jake’s family relocated back to Central, WA and settled in East Wenatchee in 1998. Jake grew up being an avid sports fanatic and participate. Lots of traveling throughout PNW for sports combined with a competitive attitude towards competition was his WHY at a younger age. Jake’s life has always revolved around a “team” whether that was on the court/field with teammates, completing projects around the house with his parents at a young age, or today, striving to reach new heights with the Rimmer & Roeter team members, sub-contractors, and clients.  

Since his younger years, Jakes WHY has changed due to 6 beautiful children and a wife. You can find them outdoors camping, traveling to the ocean, dirt-biking, attending sports activities or just in the backyard creating lasting memories.

Steve Roeter

sHAREHOLDER, CO-FOUNDER

Steve Roeter, co-founded Rimmer & Roeter Construction in April 2000 and has over 40 years of experience in the construction field. Steve is a seasoned project manager with a diverse background in design and engineering, value engineering, carpentry, and electrical.

 Earned a B.S. in Building Construction from the University of Washington, Steve’s background in structural theory, soils engineering, estimating, surveying and business have led the Rimmer & Roeter team to many successful endeavors.

When Steve is not at the desk or in the field, you will find him hunting, fishing, backpacking, or skiing in the Northwest.

Josh Roeter

Owner / senior project manager/shareholder

Josh just recently celebrated his 10 year anniversary at Rimmer & Roeter Construction. After working summers at Rimmer & Roeter as a laborer, he attended Wenatchee Valley College and then graduated with a degree in Construction Management from Central Washington University.

Josh leads the Rimmer & Roeter team. He married his high school sweetheart and resides in Leavenworth. When he is not working, he enjoys hiking, mountain biking and hunting in our region.

 

Matt Swanson-Hill

Superintendent

Matt has over 25 years of experience in construction field and 10 years with Rimmer & Roeter Construction. Matt appreciates they are a family-orientated company which allows him the opportunity to learn new aspects of project management. He is excited to be a part of the future at Rimmer & Roeter.

Matt is a Bellingham native who moved to Entiat in 2012. A proud father of 2 children and married to his wife of 21 years. When he is not working on an impressive project for Rimmer & Roeter, you may find him camping, paddle boarding, or going to a car show.

Mike Schrubbe

Superintendent

As superintendent for Rimmer & Roeter construction, Mike is proud to represent the company on site and in the community. He appreciates that Rimmer & Roeter cares about delivering a quality product to their customers and value a work environment that rewards craftsmanship and teamwork.

He and his wife relocated to Central Washington and have fallen in love with the Wenatchee Valley.

Rimmer & Roeter Construction have been a major contributor to his happiness as they have truly welcomed his family with open arms. When he is not chasing around his three boys from sport to sport, he and his family enjoy boating, biking and camping.

Eli Phillips

Project Manager

Eli is a skilled in design-build, industrial construction and high-end commercial buildings. Philips graduated from Cashmere High School and then earned a BA in Construction Management.

He said, “Rimmer & Roeter Construction offer the unique level of integrity on all projects.” Outside of work, Eli enjoys hiking, climbing, skiing peaks in the Western US or find him doing CrossFit with his wife, Maddy.

Hally Baird

Administrative Assistant/Accounts Payable

Hally grew up helping her dad with hardware on custom home build construction sites, earning the nick name, “Hurricane Hally”.  Born and raised in Chehalis, Washington, she moved to Mansfield after graduation. Ten years and three wild, but beautiful, little girls later, she calls Cashmere her home. When not in the office or chasing the kids, Hally enjoys cooking good food, reading a book, or competing on the softball field.

Evan Butcher

project manager

Evan has over 15 years of experience on high-end residential and commercial construction projects both in Colorado and Washington State. He especially likes working with the experienced and professional team at Rimmer & Roeter.

Off-site, he spends time with his wife and two daughters, traveling and playing in the great outdoors.

Don Lehmbecker

superintendent

Don grew up in Renton, Washington and moved to Chelan in 2003 to help his brother build a winery. Since 2006, he has worked for Rimmer & Roeter starting his first job working on a high-end home at Bear Mountain in Chelan. Don specializes in remodels for industrial and commercial projects.

Outside of work, Don enjoys recreational shooting, hunting and fishing with his sons. He still relives the glory days as he played for the Seattle grunge band, “Blow Chunks” from 1984 to 1994.

Amber Schulz

Administrative Assistant/Accounts Payable

With a robust background spanning 12 years in accounts payable, I bring a wealth of expertise and a keen eye for financial details to every task. Beyond my professional life, I am a proud parent of three wonderful children, a dedicated partner to my husband, and a true Wenatchee Valley native. When I'm not delving into financial matters, I find solace and joy spending quality time with my beloved dogs, embracing the beauty of nature and the bonds that truly matter.

Andy Hartman

Superintendent

Originally born in Rochester, New York, Andy is pleased to have been raised and live in the Pacific Northwest. As a Superintendent, Andy is happy to be a part of a team filled with professionals and craftspeople that can take someone’s vision and dream and make it a reality. “Rimmer & Roeter has trust and belief in their people, and it is true the owners care about the people who work for them.”

Andy is a baseball enthusiast and an Atlanta Braves fan. His free time is filled with family and friends, enjoying the love of all musical genres, throwing the tennis ball for the dog, spending time on the beach, or simply grilling or smoking up something tasty.

Alberto Mejia

Project Manager

As one of the newer project managers to the Rimmer & Roeter team, Alberto brings over 10 years of experience to the company. Alberto served in the Marine Corps and graduated from Central Washington University.

Alberto was raised in the Wenatchee Valley and continues to call Central Washington his home. Rimmer & Roeter Construction has provided the opportunity to be a part of diverse and high-quality projects around the Valley. When not on site, you might find him traveling to a new place or experiencing another culture.

Dan Ryan

SUPERINTENDENT

Dan has been in the construction industry and self employed for over 16 years. During Covid, he relocated back to Wenatchee and joined the team at Rimmer & Roeter Construction.

Rimmer & Roeter offers him a great work environment, as the company truly cares about each individual. He enjoys being a husband, father of two children and grandfather of three!

Randy Kolhase

Superintendent

A native of Furgus Falls, Minnesota, Randy has been with Rimmer & Roeter since 2001. Randy specializes in high end detailed projects, both commercial and residential. Away from the jobsite, Randy enjoys fishing in his 18’ Alumiweld fishing boat or working on his orchard property with his wife and son in East Wenatchee.

Jason Mittelstadt

superintendent

Growing up in Moses Lake and family roots in Waterville, Jason is proud to call the Wenatchee Valley home.  After attending a University and working in the hustle of Seattle, Mittelstadt happily returned to Eastern Washington to raise his family. Jason, his wife and children are active members of the Valley, enjoying outdoor recreation and time with family and schools.  They also love the four seasons, enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, and skiing.

Jason’s professional experience is well rounded.  It began in the woods of Montana as a forest technician building forest roads and preparing timber harvests.  From the woods, Mittelstadt moved to Seattle to experience the tech craze of the 90s. After four years of corporate America, his passion led him back into construction, building luxury homes. Within two years, Jason found himself supervising projects and has been involved in construction management ever since.  Mittelstadt’s portfolio includes high-end residential, commercial, and industrial projects which has made Rimmer & Roeter a great fit for his expertise.

Jackie Johnson

Office manager

Born and raised in Alaska, but a longtime Washington transplant, Jackie has numerous years of experience in administrative support to the construction industry. She finds the role rewarding and often challenging working for Rimmer & Roeter.

Away from the office, Jackie is a wife, mom and grandmother. Family is her number one joy and loves spending time together whether it is camping in the spring, gardening in the summer, traveling in the fall, or snowmobiling in the winter-she loves it all!
